owl at window

owl at window

I only know I was in my house but I am not sure which room. A large bird started flapping against the window. At first I thought it was a hawk, but when I touched the window and it turned its head I saw it was an owl. There was no sound from the owl, complete silence.
I kept putting my hands against the window trying to hide its eyes which were looking straight into mine. The more I tried to cover up the owls eyes the larger the owl grew until the eyes were larger then my hand. I finally stopped trying to cover the eyes and held my hands still. The owl stared straight at me with one large black eye, after which I woke up.
The owl’s eye was like a black globe, no pupil. I never felt afraid of the owl, nor did I feel startled when he appeared at the window.

Thanks for sharing your dream, kalioka. If this were my dream, an owl symbolizes wisdom ... and wisdom obtained in the night (while dreaming) in particular. A window symbolizes a perspective or viewpoint. I would ask myself, "What wisdom or new perspective are my dreams offering me? Am I paying attention and acting on them?"
