All the time!

All the time!

I dream of water in almost every single one of my dreams. Not like a reoccuring dream but whether its a glass of water or a vast ocean water is everywhere! I barely ever have vivid dreams or it could be a week before i have one that i even remember but almost every day i wake up remembering water from my dream.

For me, water, be it a lake or river, has almost always served as sleep induction for over fifty years, and I have always recalled numerous dreams every sleep cycle (though not every one with water induction). In fact, even if I fall asleep only for a few minutes, I sometimes feel I am in water, or hear the loud splash of water. In my case, it simply correlates with ultradian rhythm and the sleep cycle itself. This may be because water literally increases in cells by way of the glymphatic system during sleep, as a biological cleansing process.

Hmm idk if the 2 correlate.. the dreaming of water and the cleansing process but who knows. Anything's possible when it comes to dreaming. Water has never really been helpful to me in falling asleep but it does help me relax i suppose. I rarely am ever able to dream consecutively dream one after another but on the off chance I do I only ever remember bits and pieces of them. It's so frustrating because I really do enjoy dreaming. I don't ever have nightmares, knock on wood, but I do get sleep paralysis quite often and it terrifies me! I sit there and try screaming and moving or I try to touch my husband. Anything to try and get his attention so he wakes me up and nothing. The water dreams are sometimes vague, like a glass of water and other times are very prominent, like i have a somewhat reoccurring dream (that's always different somehow) but it's always basically going over some type of bridge (usually on a very scary incline) and there's water as far as the eye can see. Other times it's a very small road like structure that goes on just as far and just above the water but it's only just wide enough to fit a car. Other times it seems like I'm just driving right on top of the water. Also I never get in the water, I never get wet and I never dream submerged into the water.
