One of the best tips we’ve received from expert lucid dreamers is to get in the habit of performing reality checks in daily life. A reality check can help you spot the difference between reality and a dream by checking for logical inconsistencies, physical impossibilities and whatnot. These are things like checking to see if you can see yourself in a mirror (which you can always do in real life but not always in a dream) or seeing if the laws of math or physics are consistent with reality or if your dream lacks gravity.
